Accessibility Statement

Last Updated: 5 March 2026

This Accessibility Statement describes the efforts undertaken by Inkbound Publishers (“Inkbound”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), accessible at https://inkbound.org (the “Website”), to ensure that our website and digital publications are accessible to all users, including individuals with disabilities.

Inkbound Publishers was previously known as The Law Brigade (Book) Publisher, and the current publishing platform continues the academic publishing activities formerly carried out under that name. References to “Inkbound”, “we”, “us”, or “our” in this policy refer to the publisher operating the Website and its associated publishing services.

Inkbound is committed to providing inclusive access to scholarly information and strives to make its digital content usable by the widest possible audience.

1. Our Commitment to Accessibility

Inkbound recognizes the importance of accessibility in scholarly communication and aims to ensure that our Website and publications can be accessed by users with diverse abilities.

We strive to design and maintain our digital platforms in a manner that promotes accessibility and usability across a wide range of devices, assistive technologies, and browsing environments.

2. Accessibility Standards

Inkbound aims to follow widely recognized accessibility principles and standards established by the World Wide Web Consortium, including the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines.

These guidelines provide recommendations for improving the accessibility of web content for users with visual, auditory, cognitive, and motor impairments.

Our objective is to progressively align the Website with accessibility practices consistent with WCAG 2.1 Level AA, where feasible.

3. Website Accessibility Features

Inkbound seeks to incorporate accessibility-friendly design practices, including:

  • clear and consistent navigation structures

  • readable text and scalable font sizes

  • compatibility with common web browsers and assistive technologies

  • responsive design supporting mobile and desktop access

  • descriptive page titles and metadata where appropriate

These measures aim to enhance the accessibility of our Website for a broad range of users.

4. Accessibility of Digital Publications

Inkbound publishes scholarly books and chapters in digital formats intended to be widely accessible.

Where possible, efforts are made to ensure that digital publications:

  • are compatible with standard PDF readers and digital devices

  • include structured formatting that supports screen readers

  • provide clear headings and logical document structure

However, accessibility may vary depending on factors such as author-submitted formatting, third-party materials, or legacy document structures.

Inkbound continues to improve accessibility practices for newly published content where feasible.

5. Limitations and Ongoing Improvements

While Inkbound strives to improve accessibility across its platforms and publications, some limitations may exist.

Certain content may not yet fully conform to accessibility standards due to:

  • legacy content created before accessibility standards were implemented

  • technical limitations of certain document formats

  • third-party content or embedded materials beyond our direct control

We are committed to continuous improvement and will work toward enhancing accessibility over time.

6. Assistive Technology Compatibility

The Website is intended to function with commonly used assistive technologies, including:

  • screen readers

  • text-to-speech tools

  • browser accessibility extensions

  • keyboard navigation tools

Users may experience different levels of accessibility depending on their specific technology and configuration.
