Indexing, Archiving & Preservation Policy
Last Updated: 5 March 2026
This Indexing, Archiving and Preservation Policy describes how publications issued by Inkbound Publishers(“Inkbound”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), accessible at https://inkbound.org (the “Website”), are indexed, archived, and preserved for long-term accessibility.
Inkbound Publishers was previously known as The Law Brigade (Book) Publisher, and the current publishing platform continues the academic publishing activities formerly carried out under that name. References to “Inkbound”, “we”, “us”, or “our” in this policy refer to the publisher operating the Website and its associated publishing services.
Inkbound is committed to ensuring the discoverability, accessibility, and preservation of scholarly publications. To support these objectives, the publisher works with various indexing platforms, library catalogues, digital repositories, and archiving systems.
However, indexing and discoverability are subject to the policies and technical criteria of independent third-party services, which operate outside the control of Inkbound.
1. Indexing and Discoverability
Inkbound actively works to maximize the discoverability of its publications by submitting metadata and bibliographic information to various scholarly discovery platforms and indexing services.
2. Third-Party Indexing Independence
All indexing services, discovery platforms, and library catalogues operate as independent third-party organizations.
Each indexing service maintains its own:
-
eligibility criteria
-
technical indexing requirements
-
metadata policies
-
inclusion or exclusion standards
-
indexing algorithms and update schedules
As a result, the inclusion, ranking, visibility, or removal of publications within such services is determined solely by the policies and systems of the respective indexing platform.
Inkbound does not control the indexing decisions, algorithms, or database management practices of these independent services.
3. No Guarantee of Indexing
While Inkbound makes reasonable efforts to submit publications and metadata to recognized indexing platforms, the publisher cannot guarantee that any specific publication, chapter, or book will be indexed by a particular service.
Indexing decisions are made entirely at the discretion of the respective indexing provider.
Similarly, indexing status may change over time as third-party platforms update their systems, modify indexing criteria, or restructure their databases.
4. De-Indexing and Changes in Indexing Status
Indexing platforms may remove, update, or reclassify records within their databases for various reasons, including:
-
algorithmic updates
-
changes in indexing policies
-
database restructuring
-
metadata adjustments
-
technical indexing issues
Such changes may result in temporary or permanent removal of records from indexing platforms.
Because these platforms operate independently, Inkbound is not responsible for de-indexing decisions or changes in indexing status made by third-party indexing services.
5. Limitation of Publisher Responsibility
Inkbound’s responsibility with respect to indexing is limited to:
-
providing accurate metadata for publications;
-
making reasonable efforts to submit publication information to indexing and discovery platforms;
-
maintaining accessibility of publications on the Inkbound platform.
The publisher does not control, manage, or operate the indexing infrastructure of external databases or search engines.
Accordingly, Inkbound shall not be held responsible for indexing outcomes, visibility rankings, or removal of publications from third-party platforms.
Indexing status within external services does not form part of the publishing agreement and does not constitute a guaranteed service.
6. Archiving and Long-Term Accessibility
Inkbound is committed to ensuring the long-term accessibility of published works.
Publications are maintained through:
-
hosting on the Inkbound website and digital infrastructure;
-
distribution through library catalogues and academic discovery platforms;
-
metadata dissemination to scholarly databases and repositories.
These measures are intended to support the ongoing discoverability and availability of scholarly publications.
7. Digital Preservation
Inkbound seeks to preserve scholarly publications for long-term access by maintaining secure digital copies and backups of published works.
Where appropriate, the publisher may collaborate with:
-
library catalogues
-
academic repositories
-
digital preservation services
to support the long-term integrity and accessibility of the scholarly record.
8. Future Indexing Initiatives
Inkbound continuously works to expand the discoverability of its publications by pursuing additional indexing opportunities with academic databases, repositories, and library networks.
New indexing services or discovery platforms may be added over time as part of the publisher’s ongoing efforts to enhance global visibility for scholarly works.
9. Policy Updates
Inkbound reserves the right to update or revise this Indexing, Archiving and Preservation Policy as publishing technologies and indexing infrastructures evolve.
Updated versions will be published on the Website with a revised “Last Updated” date.
